SATO is an innovator in the
Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) industry, and the
inventor of the world's first electronic thermal transfer barcode printer.
It forever changed the bar-coding industry by introducing the Data
Collection System (DCS) & Labeling concept, a total barcode and labelling
solution providing high scanners/hand held terminals, label design software,
quality barcode printers, and consumables. SATO is among the
first in the industry to introduce a complete, multi-protocol EPC compliant,
UHF RFID solution.
Sato continues to be a leader in thermal transfer barcode
printers. Because of the high print speeds, the label printers have become
very sophisticated, with powerful processors and huge memory capacities, to
allow them to produce the label images to be printed at the same speed as
the print mechanism. To achieve this speed, almost all-thermal label
printers use special internal description languages to allow the label to be
coordinated inside the printers' memory prior to printing.
Sato’s latest label printer is the CL408e, which combines
the proven mechanical reliability and durability of the CL 400 Series teamed
with the advanced RISC processor. The innovation behind Sato’s
enhanced CL400e Series puts it out in front in thermal transfer barcode
printing. The innovative technology behind the enhanced CL 400e Series has
resulted in new throughput standards being set in the thermal transfer
printing industry.
With the enhanced CL 400e series the operator has a choice of print head
densities of 203 or 305 dpi, print speeds of up to 150mm/sec and a print
width of 104mm.
The specially augmented range of 8 modular interfaces has expanded the
multi-connectivity. The CL408e can connect to almost every
system! The easily readable LCD display is available in a wide selection of
European languages, making the set-up and use of the printer effortless.
